Looking to take your EMS career to the next level? Join our amazing team at Simulation in Motion – Iowa (SIM-IA).

SIM-IA is a clinical education program in Iowa, focused on providing high quality, evidence-based clinical education to EMS providers, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare providers across the state. Our goal is to improve the quality and consistency of healthcare across the state by bringing essential education to local providers.

Our mobile simulation trucks have a fully stocked simulated emergency department bay, simulation operator workspace, and fully stocked simulated ambulance box to facilitate a variety of clinical scenarios. Scenarios are tailored to local interest and clinical needs; including adult male/female, obstetrics, pediatrics, and newborns. In addition to EMS and emergency departments, our scenarios can move into live EMS, ED, and hospital settings for richer learning experiences (e.g., operating room, intensive care, med-surg, clinics, etc.).

"Working at SIM-IA has given me the opportunity to provide a resource many communities don’t typically have access to, while also allowing me to see parts of the state I had never visited before. These trainings strengthen teamwork, communication, and leadership among the providers we work with, while helping small, rural departments prepare for high-acuity calls they may not encounter often. The program has also given me valuable insight into areas where I can grow, helping me refine my own approach in the field."
