OB Deliveries
This OB scenario with a healthy baby allows the learners to discuss the stages of normal labor and define terms that are used to describe the relationship of the fetal body to the maternal body (lie, presentation, position, station) The learner will list and discuss the mechanism and cardinal movements of labor. This scenario includes discussions on the recognition of a fetal nuchal cord, and steps to reduce the nuchal cord as well as recognizing breech presentation, and the appropriate steps to aid in the delivery of the placenta. Learners will discuss the immediate care of the neonate after delivery, with assignment of appropriate Apgar scoring.
Post-Partum Hemorrhage

The post-partum hemorrhage scenario allows the participants to describe the presentation and treatment of a patient with a postpartum hemorrhage and discuss the management options available for postpartum hemorrhage. Learners will demonstrate effective communication skills and teamwork during a postpartum hemorrhage event as well as demonstrate timely and accurate clinical intervention for a postpartum hemorrhage.
